A method of producing virus-free potato minitubers is a new technology by combing biotechnology and soilless culture and industrialized production. The main advantages of this technology are summarized as follows:
Intensive production of minitubers under manual controlled lights , temperature, water, air, hormone, and fertilizer.
Efficient and rapid tuber production. A minituber crop can be produced 40-50 days,with 700 minitubers (weight of 1-3g/ miniituber ) per square meter.
The production of seeding potatoes can be year-round, which is not subject to the conditions of climate and geography.
Soilless culture. No environmental pollution.
